Monthly Favs // November 2014

Hello! It's the time of the month where I will be sharing what I have been loving for the past month! So here's my pick!

In clockwise direction

1. Well well well, what else is there to say about my all time favourite blush? It's the Marc Jacobs Blush in Outspoken. A very pretty shade of Purple. Haven't really seen or heard anyone raving about it, but I guess it will be one of the most talked about product soon.

2. Have been loving Skin Food's translucent loose powder and I stopped using it because it didn't work for my skin and the concealer that I have been using. But because I have changed my concealer to Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, it works better and I'm in love again!

3. I am always into sweet scent. I'm almost done with my 2nd bottle of Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy EDP but then somehow I've steered away from that for a good 3 weeks.. It was a gift from my mum and I really love it. Something floral yet not too strong like most of the floral scents that my friends are using. Thumbs up to this Juicy Couture Viva La Fleur EDP!

4. Other than my using my Marc Jacob blush, I've also been using my Zoeva Blush in Gentle Touch. It's in a very subtle shade of rose pink, an everyday blush. Somedays I just don't wish to be all doll-ed up so I'll reach for this. The pigmentation of this is really amazing, so go light on your brush.

5. I've recently purchased a new highlighter called Mary-Lou-Manizer from The Balm. I have always been using Benefit's High Beam, but sometimes it just doesn't blend in with my other powder makeup (quite annoying). My go-to highlighter every single day. Please try it if you haven't. It'll bring you all the glory lights to your face, darling and you will look like an angel, I promise.

6. I bought Dior's Lip Glow back in May and never really love it until now. Have been really busy with school and planning all other things and I got too lazy to do anything other than brows, concealer, eyeliner and lipsticks are just too much for my lazy days but I still wish to have some colour on my lips and this is perfection. The reason for me not to love it was because of my pigmented lips. My lips are weird, it's in two tones, so it's difficult to match the colour of my lips without looking weird. Somehow it works better now, and I'm very happy!

7. This was a recommendation from @girlyvita and I was really in love with all the colours on her lips whenever she wore this series to school. So I've decided to get it and never once regret. NYX Butter Lipstick is really worth your dollar as it has great colour payoff, not drying and buttery soft.

8. So my lover got this for me and I am impressed, truly impressed. He got the right shade and I love the colour! Never thought guys could do makeup shopping (expect for the experts) but he did pretty well. Laneige's Lipstick in SR102 is one of my signature lips and I got plenty of compliments from it. Well done love, you did me proud. haha

9. I bought this while Sephora was having 20% off storewide and since it's 20% off, I have to buy as much as I could (well, why not right?). Never tried any of Make Up Forever's lip products at all, so I've decided to get in two shades. I love both shades, but I've been wearing the red more often than the neutral one. I am wearing Make Up Forever's Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in #45.

10. I have been reaching for NYX Round Lipstick in Black Cherry whenever I have shoot. Love it so much. It's not drying and has a very strong staying power. A pity that it's not as easy to get NYX products here in Singapore. They sell mostly neutral or wearable shades instead. Do let me know if you know places who sells them in all colours! Greatly appreciate.

11. The last in the list but definitely one of my top favourites. It's the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer!! Somehow I am feeling a little bit sad that I didn't get to try this out first and spend money on other concealer that I don't really fancy. It's really creamy in consistency, and very opague. Easy to blend and wearable. It doesn't dry my undereyes at all. Amazing.

So here's the end of the post! Still thinking of what to write for the next few posts, but I shall see. I might do a swatch on my favourite lipsticks! Any suggestions? ;)

  1. Have you tried looking for the NYX Lippies on shopping-district? I usually get most of my nyx products there! Hope that helps!
