First Impression + Review // Urban Decay - NakedSkin

Today I'm back with a First Impression + Review on the highly raved NakedSkin foundation from Urban Decay. I've heard pretty good review from YouTubes and Blogs and after much consideration (choosing from Shu Uemura's Lightbulb foundation and Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua foundation) I've decided to pick up the Urban Decay, NakedSkin foundation from Sephora (since the SA was much more approachable than the other two).

So here's my take on the NakedSkin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation!

My house was doing some renovation work and it's taking a toll on my skin. Severe acne breakout and dry patches because I was unable to face masks or exfoliate my skin without having dusts covering my face. So here's my "Before" picture:

Packaging:
This foundation comes with a pump and a "shaker", which makes applying makeup a lot easier. I feel that with a built-in pump, it keeps the unused product a lot fresher and it's definitely more hygenic than having to open it up and pour it out onto the back of my hand. The "shaker" helps me give my product an even mix and distribute my product evenly. So do shake well before using! For a 30ml product, I will prefer to have a smaller bottle, but I guess because of the built-in "shaker" it has to be bigger to allow even mixture of product.

Texture and Consistency:
It feels like a water based foundation as it is runny in consistency and very lightweight once applied.

Coverage:
The coverage of this product is amazing. It is enough to conceal parts of my dark circles. For such a lightweight, runny texture product, it gives a medium coverage yet feels like I'm not wearing anything on my face. The foundation is build-able, but I would recommend you to use a primer if you choose to do a full coverage with NakedSkin as it will settle into your pores if you apply a little too much of the foundation.

Finish:
It is not drying, or cake-y on face and once it sets in, it really gives a demi-matte finish with a hint of glow to your skin.

So after the shoot (under scortching hot), I was in air conditioned place till 9pm before I decided to remove my makeup (my day started at 8am btw) and I realised that my skin looks better as the day goes by, I wasn't expecting this.

It doesn't make my skin turn oily and it doesn't dry up my skin. My face has been more towards oily for this recent months, so I guess it does control oil? To play safe, better to wear with primer and setting powder.

Staying power:
I went for an outdoor shoot without using a primer and setting powder with this foundation as I wanted to test it's limit. Even under sweltering hot sun, my makeup stayputs! So two thumbs up for that!

Swatch:

> Before and After (Circled area is to where I've applied on with 1 layer)

> After blending all the product that I've squeezed onto my hand. Pores and some hair are well concealed. You can compare with the Before photo where my veins are more visible.

> After applying

> Under hot sun, almost done with shoot (3hours of hot heat!!) No setting powder over my face. Sorry about the bad complexion on my forehead :( Still recovering. I need serious help to clear the "mess".
Lipstick used: NYX BlackCherry

Overall:
Will I repurchase? Yes.
Will I recommend to my friends? Yes.
